“DANCING IS LIKE WISHING WITH YOUR FEET, DREAMING WITH YOUR BODY.”
Rhiannon Farlow is a professional dance teacher who started dancing classical ballet, jazz and tap at the age of five.
In 2010, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) after moving to Brisbane to study at Queensland University of Technology. During that time she travelled to Guangzhou, China, to perform in the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival. Rhiannon graduated in 2012 with a Graduate Diploma in Education and started classes at Brisbane’s Rio Rhythmics Latin Dance Academy, with Tarcisio Teatini-Climaco. In 2012, Rhiannon started teaching Brazilian zouk, samba de gafieira, forro, bolero, salsa (on 1) and merengue at Rio Rhythmics. She now focuses on zouk lambada and samba de gafieira. Rhiannon started teaching K&L Dance in 2013.
Rhiannon’s performances at Latin dance events around Australia include Brazil Central, Sydney Latin Festival, Melbourne Latin Festival, Doudoule, Australian Ilha do Zouk, and the Prague Zouk Congress.
“There’s a feeling to Latin dance – a certain style and sensuality – which I hope to spend a lifetime exploring.”
